Sandfield The Promenade
This is Sandfield on The Promenade in Southport. It's a big Victorian terrace house right on the seafront. It was built by a mill owner, so the rooms are large with high ceilings. It lets in a lot of light. It sleeps twelve, over six bedrooms, with three bathrooms.
The house is one of the few along here still kept as a single home instead of being split into flats. You can walk straight out onto the promenade. The beach is across the road.
Kings Gardens is directly opposite. It's a big park with a playground and a lake. Lord Street, which is the main shopping street with cafes and restaurants, is about a ten minute walk away. The pier and other things like the cinema and bowling are also within walking distance, so you often don't need the car.
The stairs are typical for a house this age. They're fine, but they are steep. There's parking on site for a couple of cars.
If you want to go further out, Liverpool is about half an hour by train or car. The station is a short walk from the house. Formby beach and the red squirrel reserve are a short drive north. Blackpool is about an hour away.
For facilities, it has the basics like WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
