The Dairy is a single-storey cottage on a quiet lane near Burscough. It's a converted farm building, so it's a studio layout, all one room. It sleeps two.
You get your own small patio area with furniture. There are about six acres of shared gardens to wander around, with fields beyond. It's very quiet.
Inside, it's open plan. The bedroom area is part of the main living space. The bathroom is separate and en-suite. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything is on one level, so there are no stairs.
It's a countryside spot, but the coast is only about a ten-minute drive away. The village of Burscough is two miles off. There's a shop, pubs, and places to eat there. Ormskirk is four miles away for a bigger supermarket and the market.
Southport is about eight miles. That's the main seaside town, with a long sandy beach and a pier. If you like wildlife, Martin Mere Wetland Centre is very close, just two miles. For a walk on the dunes and a chance to see red squirrels, Formby is about a half-hour drive. You can find details here: National Trust Formby.
There's parking right outside. Facilities include a TV, WiFi, and bedding and towels are provided. There's a highchair and a cot if you need one. No pets.
