The Stable New Lane

The Stable is one of four cottages here at Martin Lane Farm. It's a single-storey place, which makes it handy if you don't want stairs. It's also got proper wheelchair access, with a private driveway, grab rails and a walk-in shower.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and there are two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The cottage sits on a quiet lane. You're surrounded by fields and we've got a few acres of garden. It's peaceful, but you're not cut off. The coast is about a ten minute drive away.

Burscough village is two miles away. They have a few shops and a wharf with craft places and cafes. Ormskirk is four miles. That's a proper market town with shops, pubs and a twice-weekly market.

Southport is about eight miles. That's the main seaside town round here. Long sandy beach, pier, the usual seafront stuff.

If you like wildlife, WWT Martin Mere is very close, just two miles. For a day out, you can drive to the National Trust at Formby. It's about half an hour. They’ve got the red squirrel reserve and beach there.

Facilities here: you've got your own patio and garden with a BBQ, parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
