The Stable
The Stable is one of four cottages on our farm. It's single-storey and accessible, which is why it was built. It's got a private driveway around the back.
You'd be sleeping four here. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers with grab rails. The 4 Star rating means it's well-equipped and modern, not basic. It's warm and everything works.
The cottage looks out over our garden and fields. It's quiet. You get a private patio with a barbecue.
For facilities, you've got a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside the door.
The farm is down a quiet lane. The closest village is Burscough, about two miles away. It's got a few shops and places to eat. Ormskirk is four miles for a bigger supermarket and the market.
The coast is about a ten-minute drive. Southport is eight miles. It's got a long sandy beach and the usual seafront things.
The WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is very close, just two miles. It's good for a family day out. Formby, with the National Trust red squirrel reserve and beach, is about a 25-minute drive. There are golf courses around, including Royal Birkdale.
