The Restored Cottage

The Restored Cottage is in Heskin Green, which is out in the Lancashire countryside. It's a detached thatched property. It's old, from the 17th century, but it's been done up inside.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs inside are steep and a bit narrow. That's just how it is in these old places.

The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got kids or a dog. It's lawned and gets the sun in the evening. There's a wood burning stove in the living room for cooler nights.

Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if required. It's also wheelchair accessible at the entrance.

For things to do, you'll need a car. Chorley is about a 15 minute drive for shops. The coast at Southport is half an hour away. Blackpool, with the Pleasure Beach and tower, is about 40 minutes.

Liverpool and Manchester are both under an hour's drive if you want a city day. For walking, Rivington Pike is a good half-hour drive and the view from the top is worth it. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are both just over an hour away.
