Anchor Cottage is in Deal, Kent. It's a terraced house built in the 1800s, so it's got the features you'd expect. The doorways are a bit low in places. You just have to mind your head.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a roll-top bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. The kitchen and dining area are open-plan. There's a woodburning stove in the living room for cooler evenings.
The cottage is on a quiet back street but you're only a few minutes' walk from everything. The beach and the pier are about 500 yards away. People fish off the pier. There's a good shop, an 18th century pub, and a restaurant all about the same distance.
Deal itself is nice to wander around. You've got Walmer Castle and Deal Castle close by. If you want a different beach, Broadstairs and Viking Bay are a short drive up the coast.
Canterbury is about half an hour away by car or train. You can see the cathedral and walk the city walls. For a bigger trip, you can get the ferry from Dover to France for the day.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
