Chalet 56
Chalet 56 is on Kingsdown Holiday Park, near Deal. It's an older park, but quiet and well looked after. The chalet is one of many, but it's got its own deck at the front which catches the sun in the evening.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but don't expect anything luxurious. It's a holiday park chalet.
The park has a heated indoor pool you can book sessions in. There are also washing machines and dryers on site if you need them.
The location is the main thing. You're a few minutes' walk from the beach. It's shingle. There are three pubs within a five-minute walk, all serving food. There's a small shop on the park for basics.
Deal is about two miles along the coast. Nice high street with independent shops. You've got Deal Castle and Walmer Castle close by if you like history.
Dover is about six miles for the castle and ferries. Canterbury is a half-hour drive for the cathedral and shopping. If you fancy a different beach, Walmer is pebbles, or you can drive to Sandwich Bay.
Facilities: parking right outside, includes bedding and towels, wifi, TV, washing machine. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance is level, but there's a small step up into the chalet itself. No pets.
