Headland is an apartment in St Margaret's at Cliffe, up on the cliffs between Dover and Deal. It's attached to our own place, but you've got your own entrance and it's all self-contained.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One's a double, the other has a single bed with another one that pulls out from underneath it. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-kept. Everything's on the ground floor.
The living area is open plan and gets a good amount of light. Outside, there's a small courtyard at the front. It's quiet there, you can hear the birds. It looks over the Pines Garden across the lane.
The beach is about five minutes' walk down the lane. It's a pebble beach in a bay, so it's quite sheltered. Good for rock pools when the tide's out. The Coastguard pub is right there on the beach.
If you like walking, the paths along the top of the cliffs are right from the door. You can walk to the South Foreland Lighthouse or along to Kingsdown. The Pines Garden opposite is nice for a slower stroll, they've got a tea room.
Deal's about ten minutes drive one way, Dover the other. Dover Castle is obvious, but the Walmer Castle gardens are really nice and it's closer. You can be in Canterbury in under half an hour.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
