Pines Cottage is near St Margaret's Bay, just outside the village itself. It's detached and sits on the edge of the Pines Garden. You get the garden you see in the photos to yourselves. The view from the patio is out over the gardens and trees to the sea. It's on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is modern inside, quite open plan. The owner has used a lot of recycled materials. You'll notice things like the carpets made from old fishing nets. It's a thing they're into.
The beach is a couple of minutes walk down the hill. There's a pub right on the beach there too, you'll want to book if you plan to eat. The garden the cottage is part of, the Pines Garden, is about six acres. You can walk around it. They've got a lake, some unusual trees, and a tea room.
For a proper walk, the White Cliffs and the South Foreland Lighthouse are right there. The coastal path is on your doorstep. Dover Castle is about ten minutes in the car. You can get to Canterbury in roughly half an hour if you fancy a day out.
Facilities: it's all included. Washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels. There's parking for cars and an electric vehicle charger. No pets, sorry.
