High Windy Cottage Garrigill

High Windy Cottage is up at Garrigill. It’s about half an hour from Penrith. Detached, so no-one right next to you.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a bath and a shower. The other has a shower. Four Star rating.

There's a wood burner in the living room. The conservatory is light. Good views from there, which is the point.

The kitchen has everything. Dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

The stairs are steep at the top. It's that sort of cottage. There's a highchair and a cot.

Parking for one, maybe two small cars.

The pub is a ten minute walk. The shop is in Alston, about two miles away. That’s a proper small town with cobbled streets. It's Britain's highest market town.

We're in the North Pennines, so it’s good walking country right from the door. You're about 45 minutes from the Lakes if you want to go to Penrith or Keswick. Hadrian's Wall is about the same drive.

The South Tynedale Railway is in Alston. It's a narrow-gauge railway. South Tynedale Railway.

No pets. The garden is enclosed.
