Pheasant Lodge

Pheasant Lodge is a detached chalet on our farm near Longtown. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining area, and living space all together. There's a kingsize bed with good bedding. The sofas are leather and tweed. Off the main room there's a small sauna. Outside on the decking there's a sunken hot tub in a private, enclosed garden.

You're on a working farm. We've got livestock, including Swiss Blacknose sheep and some poultry. They're in the fields around the lodge.

Location wise, you're right on the border. Gretna Green is about three miles away. The Lake District is to the south, maybe a 40 minute drive to the northern lakes. Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall are east, about half an hour. The Solway Coast is just over the border in Scotland, maybe 20 minutes.

For facilities, you've got the sauna and hot tub, a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and a bike store if you need it. There's a pub in the village, and fishing and a golf course locally.
