The Guards Van is on the old Mid Suffolk Light Railway track. It's a converted railway carriage, so it's long and thin. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One double room and one room with two singles.
The living room has the original upholstered bench seats. They're comfortable, but they are benches. You'll know you're in a train carriage. The bathroom and kitchen are at the ends.
It's in the middle of fields. You look out over farmland. It's very quiet apart from the birds. The track bed itself is good for a flat walk.
The Mid-Suffolk Railway Museum is a short walk away. They run steam trains some weekends in the summer. If you're into that, it's very handy.
There's a village about a mile and a half away with a shop and a pub. For a bigger shop, Debenham is four miles. It's a nice village with a few places to eat.
The owner has a swimming pool, sauna, and hot tub about three quarters of a mile from the carriages. You can book slots. It's heated from March to November.
For days out, Framlingham Castle is about half an hour's drive. The Suffolk coast, like Aldeburgh or Southwold, is also within half an hour. If you want a proper beach day, go there.
