The Station is near a place called Knaves Green in Suffolk. It's on the old track bed of the Mid Suffolk Light Railway. The views are just fields, really. You can see for miles.
There's not just one building here. It's a few different railway-themed places you can rent. The main one is The Station House, which sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. Then there are five converted railway carriages that sleep between four and six people each. They're all separate. You can book them together for bigger groups.
They're 4 Star. It means they're comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. The carriages are compact but they've done a good job fitting everything in. Some have bunk beds that are a bit short, better for kids.
The owner has a swimming pool, a hot tub and a sauna about three quarters of a mile away. You can use those.
The Mid-Suffolk Railway Museum is right next door. They run steam trains at weekends in the summer. It's a short walk.
For shops and a pub, Mendlesham is about a mile and a half away. Debenham is four miles. It's a bit bigger, has a few shops, pubs, a cafe and a supermarket.
It's all country lanes and farmland around here. Good for walking and cycling. If you want to go further, you're sort of in the middle of Suffolk. Stowmarket and Ipswich are about a twenty minute drive. The Suffolk Coast and places like Southwold or Aldeburgh are within an hour.
Facilities: All the places have their own garden or patio, parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Some are wheelchair accessible. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
