The Italian Carriage is one of five railway carriages and a station house converted into holiday homes. They're on the old Mid Suffolk Light Railway track bed, near the railway museum. You can see fields from the windows.
It sleeps four. There's a bunk room at one end and a double bedroom at the other, with the kitchen and sitting area in the middle. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's compact, but it's comfortable. You get your own patio area with seating.
The owner's swimming pool, hot tub and sauna are about three-quarters of a mile away. The pool is heated all year.
The Mid-Suffolk Railway Museum is a short walk away. They run steam trains at weekends in the summer. For shops and a pub, Mendlesham is a mile and a half away. Debenham, about four miles, has a few more options.
It's a good spot for walking and cycling on the local lanes. For a day out, Framlingham Castle is about a twenty minute drive. The coast at Southwold or Aldeburgh is roughly half an hour away.
Facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, parking on site, and bedding and towels are provided. No pets.
