Railway Carriage One Knaves Green

Railway Carriage One is on the old Mid Suffolk Light Railway track, near the museum. It's a converted railway carriage. You look out over fields.

It sleeps two adults in a double bedroom. There's also a small sleeping area with two short bunk beds. They're only suitable for children, as the description says. One bathroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well looked after.

The carriage feels compact but it's light inside. The living area and kitchen are open plan. You can walk straight out onto your own patio from the living space.

You're in the middle of farmland. It's quiet. Good for walking or cycling on the lanes. The Mid-Suffolk Railway Museum is a short walk away. They run steam trains on weekends in the summer.

The owner has a swimming pool, a hot tub, and a sauna about three quarters of a mile away. It's heated from March to November. You book slots to use it.

The village of Mendlesham is about a mile and a half away. They've got a pub, a post office, a shop, and a bakery. Debenham is four miles. That's a bit bigger, with a few more shops, pubs, and a leisure centre.

Facilities: WiFi, parking right by the carriage, a cot and highchair if you need them, bedding included. No pets.
