Bruichladdich is a detached house in Craigmore, on the Isle of Bute. It looks out over the Firth of Clyde. You can see the mainland coast from the front windows.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is quite handy. It’s a 4 Star property, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. The main entrance and some of the living space are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible.
The house is set back from the shore. You’ve got your own enclosed garden, which is mostly paved. There’s parking right there.
In the house, you’ve got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi and TV are there. The property is listed as suitable for Christmas stays.
Craigmore itself is quiet. Rothesay, the main town, is a short drive or a decent walk along the coast. You’ll find shops, places to eat, and Rothesay Castle there. There’s a local pub not far from the house.
Bute is good for walking and cycling. There are beaches at Ettrick Bay and Scalpsie Bay, where you often see seals. For gardens, Ardencraig is in Rothesay and Ascog Hall is near there. Mount Stuart house is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. If you’re after golf, there’s a course on the island.
You can get the ferry from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay. The crossing takes about thirty-five minutes. Once you’re here, you can drive to most places on the island in under half an hour.
