Osborne Place
Osborne Place is a three bedroom flat on the second floor, in a building on Mount Pleasant in Rothesay. It's in a conservation area, so the buildings are nice to look at. You get a view of the sea from the windows if you look in the right direction. We leave binoculars for that.
It sleeps six and has one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There are steep stairs up to the front door and then another flight inside to get to the flat itself. It's not suitable if stairs are a problem.
The town centre and the ferry port are about five minutes walk away. You can hear the ferries sometimes. The flat faces away from the main road, so it's quiet.
Rothesay has a promenade for a walk, a castle, shops, and places to eat. Mount Stuart House is a good day out. The island is good for walking, like the West Island Way, and there are a few golf courses. You can sometimes see seals or dolphins from the coast.
For getting around, the main ferry from Wemyss Bay takes about 35 minutes and you don't need to book. There's a smaller ferry at Rhubodach, about ten minutes drive away, that goes to Colintraive in five minutes.
The flat has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There is a shared garden area. We accept up to two dogs.
