Chandlers

Chandlers is a big house near Ascog on the Isle of Bute. It's detached, so there are no neighbours attached to it. The garden is yours while you're here. It's about forty yards from the shoreline.

The house sleeps sixteen people. Six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, so it's well-finished and comfortable. It's on one level mostly, but there are a few steps internally between rooms. Just be aware of that.

There's a large deck with a hot tub. The dining room seats twenty. There's also a snug with a bar and a music room with a grand piano and a few guitars.

The island is fairly quiet. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about two miles away in Rothesay. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Rothesay as well.

Bute is good for walking and cycling. Scalpsie Bay has a seal colony. For fishing, Loch Fad is three miles away. There are historical sites like St Blane's Chapel and Rothesay Castle.

You can get the ferry from Rothesay to Wemyss Bay on the mainland in about 35 minutes. From there, Glasgow is under an hour and a half by car. The Colintraive ferry is a five-minute trip to the Cowal Peninsula if you want to explore that way.

Things here: plenty of on-site parking, bike storage, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. Two pets are welcome. Highchair and cot are available.
