Chandlers

Chandlers is a big house in Ascog on the Isle of Bute. It sleeps up to sixteen people. There are six bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy with that many people.

The house is on its own, right by the water. Most rooms look out over the sea. It's got a large deck at the back with a hot tub on it.

Inside, it's set up for groups. The dining room has a table that seats twenty. There's a snug area with comfortable sofas and a bar you can get stocked before you arrive if you want. There's also a music room with a grand piano, guitars, and amplifiers.

It's a 5 Star property, which means it's well-equipped. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. It's enclosed, so it's safe for children and you can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them.

The beach is about forty yards away. For shops, a pub, or a restaurant, you need to go into Rothesay, which is about two miles.

The island is good for walking and cycling. You'll often see seals at Scalpsie Bay. For fishing, Loch Fad is about three miles away. There's plenty of history too, like Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart house and gardens.

You can get the ferry from Rothesay over to the mainland in under an hour. From there, you can explore places like Loch Lomond or head further into Argyll.
