Munro's is a stone house in Port Bannatyne. It's separate but attaches to our own apartment. It sleeps a lot of people, up to fourteen. There's eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The rating is 3 Star. It's in good order, but it's an old house, so don't expect everything to be brand new.
The stairs are a typical big house staircase, not steep but there's a lot of them. There are grab rails in some bathrooms and a seat in one shower. The kitchen is big. You can get everyone around the table. There's a room downstairs we call the cinema room, with a big TV and comfy chairs. It's quiet.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the little port. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant very close. The house is up high, so the main thing is the view over the water. You can see the sea from most of the back rooms.
The West Island Way walking route is nearby. The beaches on this side are good. Ettrick Bay is about three and a half miles, sandy and long. For a proper historic visit, Mount Stuart is worth seeing. In summer, the Waverley paddle steamer sometimes calls at Rothesay, which is the next town over.
We allow pets, up to three.
The facilities are what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, woodburning stove. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the gravel drive. We provide a cot and a highchair. The garden is yours to use.
