Bow Cottage

Bow Cottage is just under half a mile from the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. It's a detached stone cottage. You get private parking for two cars, which is genuinely useful around here.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is downstairs with a three-quarter double bed and a small shower cubicle. There's also a separate loo on the ground floor. The main bathroom upstairs has a roll-top bath and a separate walk-in shower.

The stairs are normal. The kitchen is well equipped, you've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's an open fire in the living room. French doors open out to the garden.

The garden is enclosed. There's a decked area that gets the sun and a patio with recliners. It's secure for dogs. We've left a portable dog shower outside for muddy paws.

Bourton-on-the-Water is a short walk down the lane. It's got the river running through it with the low bridges. There are pubs, tea rooms, and the usual tourist shops. The Model Village, Birdland, and the Motoring Museum are all there if that's your thing.

You can walk from the cottage to Lower and Upper Slaughter. The path goes right past Clarksons Hawkstone Brewery, which is about five minutes away. They do tours and have a tap room.

Stow-on-the-Wold is about four miles, Burford is about eight. Broadway is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes by car. There are plenty of marked footpaths for walking straight from the door.

The facilities list covers most things. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. We take up to three dogs.
