Alderley House

Alderley House is in Bourton on the Water. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. You can walk into the centre of the village in a few minutes.

It sleeps up to ten people. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. That's the main thing about it. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring two. There's parking on the drive.

Inside, it's got a wood burning stove, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Bourton itself is busy. It's got shops, pubs, and restaurants very close by. The river runs through the middle. Places like the Model Village and Birdland are right there in the village.

For wider trips, you're in a good spot. Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold are about ten minutes by car. Cheltenham is roughly twenty minutes. For a longer day out, places like Blenheim Palace, Oxford, or Stratford-upon-Avon are within an hour's drive.

The Cotswolds is good for walking and cycling. You can hire bikes in the village. For planning walks, the Cotswolds official site has maps and routes. For the big historic houses and gardens, the National Trust Cotswolds page is useful.
