Spring Cottage is in Bourton on the Water. It's a five-star place, which means it's got everything you need and it's very well kept. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms, and has two bathrooms.
It's an easy walk into the village centre. The river's there if you fancy a paddle. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. It backs directly onto a playing field with a children's park.
There's a pub right opposite the cottage. It's handy. The village itself has all the usual Cotswold things: tea rooms, shops, a few other pubs. It gets busy in summer.
The cottage has a wood burner in the main living area. It's open plan, so it's social. There are beams and stone walls. It's got a dishwasher, a washing machine, and parking. It also has an electric vehicle charger.
You can walk from here. The Slaughters are close by for a good stroll. Stow-on-the-Wold is about four miles away for a change of scene. Further out, you've got places like Cheltenham or Chipping Norton within a half-hour drive.
Up to two dogs are welcome. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
For planning days out, the National Trust Cotswolds page is useful, and so is the official Cotswolds website.
