Dolls Cottage is in Bourton on the Water. It's a small house right on the edge of the village, ten yards from a pub.
It sleeps five, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom, with a shower. The rating is 5 Star. It’s a comfortable place.
Inside, it feels bigger than it looks. There’s a conservatory at the back that looks onto the garden.
You can bring two pets. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure for dogs. There’s direct access from the garden out into open fields, which is very handy for walks.
The village centre, with the river and shops, is about 150 yards away. Bourton gets very busy in summer, but you’re a bit tucked away here so it's quieter.
For things to do, you’ve got the Model Village, Birdland, and the Motor Museum all in the village. For walks further out, the Cotswolds website has good routes. The National Trust has several properties within a half hour drive, like Hidcote and Snowshill.
Stow on the Wold and Cheltenham are about fifteen minutes by car. Burford is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes.
For facilities, you’ve got the basics: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking on site and a place to store bicycles.
