Dolls Cottage
This is Dolls Cottage. It's right in the middle of Bourton on the Water. There's a pub literally ten steps away.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and one bathroom, all upstairs. I should say the stairs to the top floor are narrow and fairly steep. Cottage stairs, you know. It's got a 5 Star rating.
You get a courtyard garden that's fully enclosed. There's direct access from it into open fields, which is handy for walks with the dogs. We do take two pets.
Inside, it's quite spacious. There's a conservatory on the back that looks over the garden. It's a nice spot to sit. Facilities are all there: WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can park on site, and there's extra parking round the back if you have more than one car.
Bourton itself is the village with the river running through the middle. It gets busy. The shop is a couple of minutes' walk. For a day out, you've got the Model Village or Birdland here in the village. Further out, Stow-on-the-Wold is about ten minutes by car. Cheltenham is maybe half an hour.
