Apartment 2 Stoke on Trent

This is Apartment 2. It's one of five apartments in a building that used to be a pub, The Olde Smithy, on the main road in Burslem.

It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and has what you need, but don't expect anything fancy. It sleeps five, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. The layout is open plan downstairs.

Being on the main road, it can be noisy at the front. The bedrooms are at the back, which is a bit quieter. There's no parking right at the property, but there's a public car park a couple of minutes' walk away.

You're right in the middle of Burslem. There are a few pubs, some shops and places to eat within walking distance. It's a proper Potteries town, so you'll see the old bottle kilns and factories around. If you're interested in that, the Gladstone Pottery Museum is nearby, and so is Middleport Pottery.

For a day out, Alton Towers is about 35 minutes in the car. The Trentham Estate is closer, maybe 15 minutes, which has gardens and the Monkey Forest. If you want a swim, WaterWorld is a big indoor pool place about 10 minutes away.

If you want to get into the countryside, the Peak District isn't far. You can be at the southern edge in about half an hour. The Peak District National Park site is good for walking ideas.

Facilities are straightforward. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a TV, and the electricity is all in. You can bring up to two dogs.

The other thing is, if you're a big group, you can book several of the apartments together. They can fit up to 24 people in total.
