Rowdecroft Farm Cottage is on our farm near Rowde. It's a detached single-storey building, an annexe really. You're on your own out here, just fields and a few sheep around. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both have their own ensuite bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Because it's all on one level and the doors are wide, it works for wheelchair users too. There are a couple of steps outside to get in.
Inside, it's a big open space with a high ceiling so it feels light. The kitchen's properly equipped, with a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a nice patio with a table and a BBQ, looking out over the garden and the fields.
You're a couple of miles from the village of Rowde, which has a pub. The town of Devizes is about ten minutes by car for supermarkets and other shops.
For things to do, you're right in the middle of a lot of history. The Avebury stone circle is about a 15 minute drive. It's bigger than Stonehenge and you can walk right up to the stones. The Lacock Abbey village is about 20 minutes away, it's all National Trust and looks like it's from a period film. The Kennet and Avon Canal is close by for walks.
Bath is roughly half an hour's drive if you want the Roman Baths or the city shops. The Cotswold Water Park is about 25 minutes in the other direction if you fancy watersports or just a walk around the lakes.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking right outside. Sorry, no pets allowed.
