Tiptoe
Tiptoe is in Steeple Ashton, about five miles from Trowbridge. It's a detached place, but we're next door in the main house. You can't see us from your patio though, it's private. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. A couple stayed here after having their kitchen done and said it was a good place to be while that was going on. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's new since the renovation, so it's clean and works.
The village pub is about 200 yards away. They do food. There's a shop about 100 yards the other way for basics.
For walking, you can just go straight out from the door into the lanes. If you want something more structured, the Lacock Abbey estate is about half an hour's drive and has good paths. Stourhead is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes.
Longleat is 20 minutes by car. Bath is about 45 minutes if the traffic's alright. Stonehenge and Avebury are both within half an hour. The train station at Trowbridge or Westbury gets you to London.
It's got a washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed. Parking is right there.
