Little Willows is a shepherd's hut in a place called Potterne, just outside Devizes. It's for two people.
It's basically one room with a kingsize bed, a sofa, a small kitchen area, and a wood burner. There's a proper bathroom at one end. The floorboards are oak, and they came from a house once owned by Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. The owners mentioned that, so I'm passing it on.
It's on the owners' land. You can use the garden and lawns. There's a stream at the bottom. You're by yourself out there, it's detached. Parking is right next to it.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well done. It's warm, has WiFi, and a smart TV you can angle around. The kitchen has a combination oven-microwave, a hob, and a fridge. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ outside.
The village of Potterne has a local pub. Devizes is about a mile away. It's a proper market town. There's a big brewery, Wadworth's, and the Kennet and Avon Canal runs through it. The Caen Hill flight of locks is famous.
You're in a good spot for getting out. Avebury and its stone circle is about 15 minutes by car. Stonehenge is around half an hour. So is Salisbury and its cathedral. Bath is also roughly half an hour away. Marlborough, Lacock, and Castle Combe are all within a 30 minute drive too.
For walks, you can start from the door. For more planning, the National Trust and English Heritage sites are useful.
No pets, I'm afraid. It's just for two people.
