Oak Lodge is on a small holiday park at Chittoe Heath. It's a timber lodge, one of four. It feels more private than some parks because it's small and looks out over fields to the Round Way Hills.
The lodge sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and everything works, but don't expect anything too high-end.
The living area is all one open space, kitchen, dining, and lounge together. It's good for a group. You've got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding is included.
The lodge is detached with its own enclosed garden and patio. There's a barbecue and parking right outside. You can bring two dogs. They'll probably like the woods.
There are about twelve acres of private woodland on the site to walk in. You'll see chickens, and you can collect eggs for your breakfast if you want. There are horses grazing in the fields nearby.
You're out in the countryside here. Devizes, Melksham, Calne and Chippenham are the nearest towns for shops and things.
For days out, you're quite central. Avebury and its stone circle is about a fifteen minute drive. Stonehenge is about half an hour. Bath is maybe thirty-five minutes if the traffic's alright. There's golf at Bowood House, which is very close.
