Oak Lodge is one of four timber lodges on a smallholding at Chittoe Heath. We're near Bromham. You get your own garden and it's enclosed, so it's fine for dogs or kids.
The lodge sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean, comfortable, and has everything you need without being luxurious.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining, and lounge all together. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
You can have up to two dogs. There's a patio area with a BBQ. Parking is right outside.
The place is on the edge of about twelve acres of private woodland. You're welcome to walk through it. You'll see chickens wandering about, and you can collect eggs for breakfast if you like. There are horses in the fields.
For local towns, Devizes is about ten minutes away. Melksham, Calne, and Chippenham are all within a fifteen minute drive for shops and supermarkets.
For days out, Avebury is about twenty minutes. It's free to walk around the stones. Stonehenge is around half an hour away, but you need to book. Bath is also about half an hour's drive. The National Trust website is good for planning visits to their places nearby. If you're interested in golf, Bowood House has a course.
