Tabernacle Basement

This is the Tabernacle Basement, in Holywell, Flintshire. It's a one-bedroom basement flat that's part of our house. Just for two people.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and recently done up, but it's still a basement flat. The ceilings are a bit low in places, so if you're very tall you'll need to mind your head. The bedroom and bathroom are down a short flight of steps from the living area.

There's one parking space right outside on the shared drive. The flat has its own private entrance around the side.

Inside, it's all there for a week's stay: a double bed, a shower room, a living room with a TV and WiFi, and a small kitchen with a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

Holywell is a small town. It's got a high street with the usual shops, a couple of pubs, and takeaways. The town is named after St Winefride's Well, which is a pilgrimage site. You can walk to it from the flat in about ten minutes.

You're well placed for getting out. The coast is about ten minutes by car. Prestatyn and Rhyl beaches are that way. Inland, you've got the Clwydian Range for walking. It's about a twenty minute drive to get up into the hills properly.

Chester is half an hour's drive if you want a city day for shopping or the Roman history. Liverpool is just under an hour.

A few useful links if you're planning: Clwydian Range and Dee Valley for walking maps, and National Trust Wales for local places like Erddig.

No pets, sorry. The flat is Christmas themed, which means we put up a tree and some decorations if you're staying over the Christmas period.
