Hersedd Barns Hendre

Hersedd Barns is in Hendre, Flintshire. It's quiet up here, on a lane just off the main road. The barns are converted, from old farm buildings. You get your own garden and patio area at the back, which looks out over the fields. The owners live nearby and you're welcome to walk dogs in their fields.

It sleeps up to eight. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has an ensuite shower. The other bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower. Two of the bedrooms have double beds. The third has two singles that can be pushed together to make another double if you need it. There's a sofa bed in the snug downstairs as well. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The kitchen is a decent size with a range cooker. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine and tumble dryer upstairs. The dining table is big, good for a family meal. The lounge has French doors out to the front.

You can bring up to two dogs. You can even bring a horse, there's space for it. There's parking for two or three cars on the drive. There's secure storage for bikes in the adjoining barn.

It's a good spot for getting out. You're not far from the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The National Trust's Erddig is about half an hour's drive. Chester is roughly the same, maybe 35 minutes. For a day at the coast, Talacre Beach or Prestatyn are within 30 minutes.
