The Hideaway
The Hideaway is a mobile home on Ocean Edge Holiday Park in Heysham. It sleeps eight, which is why there are three bedrooms: one double and two twins. There's one bathroom with a shower, and an extra toilet.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and modern. It's open plan inside. The French doors open out onto a big deck with furniture. The view is over the park towards the sea. You get good sunsets over Morecambe Bay.
The holiday park has the facilities: an indoor heated pool, a sauna, a restaurant and a sports bar. There's a kids' play area and an arcade. Parking is right outside.
Heysham village is a short walk. It's quiet, with a couple of pubs and a shop. The old St. Patrick's Chapel ruins are there, up on the headland. Morecambe promenade is about two miles away for the classic seaside stuff. Lancaster is a ten minute drive for the castle and shops.
For a day out, you can drive into the Forest of Bowland in under half an hour. The Lake District southern fringes are about the same.
Facilities are all listed. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is there. No pets, sorry.
