This is the Edith Rose. It's a mobile home on Ocean Edge Holiday Park in Heysham, Lancashire. It sleeps seven, in three bedrooms, and has one bathroom with an extra toilet.
The park is open for ten months of the year. It's got an indoor heated pool, a sauna, a restaurant and a sports bar. There's a play area and an arcade for kids. You're right on the coast here, so the sea views are the main thing.
The mobile home itself is a 4 Star. That means it's well kept and everything works. It's open plan. French doors open out onto a big decked terrace, which is nice if you get the weather. The third bedroom is a good-sized single with a proper full-size bed, which isn't always the case.
Heysham village is a five minute walk. It's quiet. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and the old St. Patrick's Chapel ruins up on the headland. You can walk along the coastal path from there.
Morecambe is about two miles along the coast. It's a traditional seaside town with a promenade, the beach, and all the usual stuff. Lancaster is a fifteen minute drive inland. It's got the castle, shops, and a bit more life if you need it.
If you want to go further, you can get into the southern Lake District in under half an hour. The Forest of Bowland is about the same drive the other way. Both are good for walking.
Facilities: everything listed is included. Bedding and towels are provided. WiFi is there. You can bring up to two pets. There’s parking right outside.
