Ocean View
Ocean View is a mobile home on the Ocean Edge Holiday Park in Heysham. It's not a cottage, it's a static caravan. It's modern and clean inside, and it's got a 4 Star rating. The main thing is the deck. It looks straight out over Morecambe Bay. The sunsets from there are really good.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. One double, two twins. There's one proper bathroom with a shower, and the double room has its own separate toilet. It's open plan inside, so the kitchen, dining and living area are all one space. Doors open onto the deck.
The holiday park has an indoor pool, a sauna, a restaurant and a sports bar. There's a play area and an arcade. You can walk down to the coastal path from the park. Heysham village is a short walk away. It's quiet, with some old ruins up on the headland. You can find a page about St Patrick's Chapel on the English Heritage site if you're interested.
Morecambe is about two miles along the coast. It's a traditional seaside town with a promenade and a beach. Lancaster is about ten minutes by car. It's got a castle and shops.
If you want to go further, you can get into the southern Lake District in under half an hour. The Lake District National Park site is useful for planning. The Forest of Bowland is also about a thirty minute drive.
Facilities are what you'd expect. WiFi, TV, parking on the plot. All bedding and towels are included. There's no shed or extra storage, just what's inside. No pets.
