Honeysuckle Cottage is in High Bickington. It's a village inland, not by the coast. It's a one-bedroom place, just for two people.
It's a 4-star cottage. That means it's in good condition, comfortable, and everything's nice quality.
The main thing is the layout. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, but the stairs are a metal spiral staircase. Some people like it, some find it a bit awkward. You just need to be careful on it.
Downstairs is all open plan. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is good for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Patio doors open out to an enclosed garden with a table and chairs.
Upstairs is just the one big room. There's a super king-size bed and a TV. The bathroom is en suite and has both a bath and a separate shower.
You can bring one dog. We include bedding and towels. There's parking right outside the cottage.
In the village, there's a pub and you can go horse riding locally. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Barnstaple or Torrington.
The area is good for walking straight from the door. By car, Exmoor is about 30 minutes away for proper moorland. The north Devon beaches, like Saunton or Woolacombe, are also about half an hour's drive. The Tarka Trail is close by for flat walking or cycling.
If you're planning trips, the Exmoor National Park site has walking routes and information.
