It's called Willow Bale Cabin. It’s on our farm near Dallas, which is in Aberdeenshire, north east Scotland. It’s a detached cabin made from straw bales, which keeps it warm. You’re on a working farm, so you’ll see animals. We’ve got sheep, goats, pigs, some wallabies, and water buffalo. The chickens wander about.
It sleeps four, but in one bedroom. There’s a double bed and then a sofa bed in the living space. One bathroom with a shower. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. We take up to two pets.
The cabin has a 4 Star rating. It’s got a TV and WiFi. There’s a fire pit outside and we provide the logs. Bedding and towels are included. We’ve got a small play park and a games room in an old shed for if the weather turns.
We run an honesty shack with things from the farm: meat, eggs, vegetables when they’re in season, honey from our bees, and apple juice. You can help yourself.
For things to do, you’re about 20 minutes from Elgin. The Moray Coast is close, maybe 25 minutes to Findhorn or Lossiemouth. Cullen is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. If you want to see dolphins, Chanonry Point near Fortrose is the place, but it gets busy. That’s about a 45 minute drive.
You’re on the edge of Speyside, so if you like whisky, there are distilleries everywhere. Glenfiddich is in Dufftown, about 25 minutes away. The Cairngorms National Park starts roughly half an hour south, near Grantown-on-Spey.

We have another identical cabin next door. You can book both together if you’re a larger group.
