Honeysuckle Bale Cabin

Honeysuckle Bale Cabin is on our farm near Dallas, in Moray. It's one of three straw bale cabins we built ourselves. It's detached, so you've got your own space. The view from the door is over fields and hills.

It sleeps four, but it's one open-plan room with a double bed and a sofa bed. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and finished nicely, but it's still a cabin. One bathroom with a shower.

You're welcome to walk around the farm. We've got sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and some more unusual ones like wallabies. There's a kids' play area and a games barn if the weather turns.

We run an honesty shack with meat from our animals, eggs, honey from our bees, and seasonal veg. There's charcoal for the BBQ and logs for your fire pit.

It's quiet here at night. You get a good sunset and, if it's clear, the stars are brilliant because there's no light pollution.

For things to do, the coast is about a half hour drive. Findhorn and Lossiemouth are nice. Cullen is a bit further. If you're into whisky, you're right on the edge of Speyside. Lots of distilleries are within 20 minutes.

The Cairngorms National Park is maybe 40 minutes south for walking or cycling. Elgin's closer, about 15 minutes, for shops or to see the cathedral.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden area is enclosed. We provide bedding and towels. There's WiFi and a TV.
