Le Rouge Roulotte is a Romany caravan on the edge of Clayton village, in the South Downs. It's detached and sits in its own private garden, which is yours to use.
It sleeps three. There's one proper double bed inside, and then a small single sofa bed in the main space. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's a caravan, not a house. You're glamping, so the space is compact and clever. Everything you need is there: a small kitchen area, a shower and toilet, and heating.
The garden is a good spot to sit out. You're right on the edge of the countryside, so you can see the Downs from there. There's parking on site.
The South Downs Way runs past the village. You can walk straight out onto it. Ditchling Beacon is a couple of miles away for the views. The local pub in Clayton is about a 15 minute walk. Hassocks train station is a short drive or a longer walk away, and from there Brighton is about 15 minutes by train.
For a day out, Brighton is the obvious one. Lewes is close too, and has a castle and plenty of antique shops. The coast at Shoreham or Brighton is about a 20 minute drive.
