The Lodge is in Hurstpierpoint village. It's a detached, single-storey cabin, built in the garden behind our house. It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's new, so everything works and it's well insulated. The space is open plan. You've got your own enclosed patio area out the back with a table and chairs. It's private.
The village has a couple of good pubs and a decent choice of shops. It's a nice place to walk around. The train station is about a 15 minute walk. You can get to Brighton in under 25 minutes by train, which is easier than driving and parking.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the South Downs. You can be on the Downs Link path or heading up towards Wolstonbury Hill in minutes. The South Downs National Park website is good for route ideas.
If you drive, Brighton seafront is about 20 minutes away. Arundel, with the castle and wetlands, is about half an hour. Haywards Heath is the nearest bigger town for supermarkets, about 10 minutes by car.
