Wiggles Cottage is on Rowney Corner, near a village called Wimbish. It's a single-storey barn conversion, so everything's on the ground floor. It's quiet, just off a country lane.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a king-size bed, one bathroom. It has a 5 Star rating, which in practical terms means it's got things like underfloor heating and the finish is very high quality. It feels new and well-kept.
The main thing is the garden. There's a proper copper bathtub out there under a covered pagoda. It's private. You can light the wood-fired stove to heat the water for it. There's also a fire pit. The bi-fold doors open right out from the living area onto the patio.
Inside is open-plan. Kitchen, dining, and sitting area all in one space. There's a wood burner. The kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, a fancy tap that does boiling water, and a dishwasher. The bedroom is off the main room.
Wimbish itself is small and quiet. For a shop or a pub, you'll need to drive to Saffron Walden, which is about three miles. It's a nice old market town with good places to eat. The Saffron Walden town website has details.
Cambridge is about a twenty minute drive. Parking can be tricky, so it's often easier to use the park and ride. Good for the museums and punting. For local walks, Audley End House is nearby. It's an English Heritage site with gardens and woodland. Audley End House.
Included facilities: bedding and towels, washing machine, WiFi, on-site parking, and an electric vehicle charger. The garden is enclosed. No pets.
