Converted Stable No 3 :
This is Number 3, one of the old stables we converted a few years ago. It's on our farm, and we live in the main house next door. We do B&B there as well.
It's just for two people. One room, everything's open plan. Bed, sofa, kitchen table, all in one space. There's a separate bathroom with a decent sized shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and everything works.
Outside, there's a private patio with chairs. It's not enclosed, it's just a flagged area, but it looks out over the fields. Very quiet. You park right outside on the gravel drive.
The local pub is about a ten minute walk. It's friendly. For a proper day out, Cambridge is half an hour's drive. Saffron Walden and Thaxted are closer, both are old market towns. Thaxted has its morris dancing festival. Finchingfield is nearby too, it's a very pretty village.
If you like walking, you can go straight from the door. The farm tracks and footpaths go for miles. There's horse riding nearby if you book it, and a few golf courses within driving distance.
It has Wi-Fi, a TV, and all the bedding and towels are provided. There's parking on site. No pets, I'm afraid.
