Lake House Cottage Finchingfield

This is Lake House Cottage. It's in Finchingfield, Essex. The building is thatched and has the original beams. It's just the one building split into two, so you'll have neighbours on the other side of the wall.

It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star so it's clean and comfortable, quite simple. You'll be on the owner's land here, about two acres. There's a lake you can see from the cottage, and there are ducks and horses in the fields around it. It's quiet.

The village of Finchingfield is about a mile away. It's a nice walk. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. They call it the prettiest village in Essex, and it is quite nice. You can get afternoon tea.

If you want to go further out, Saffron Walden and Sudbury are good for a look around. Colchester and Chelmsford are bigger, about a 30 minute drive depending on traffic. They've got the usual shops and restaurants.

For walking, the countryside around here is flat and good for cycling. For a proper day out with a historic site, Audley End House is nearby. The Hatfield Forest site is good too if you like old woodland.

What's here: there's a garden area for you, parking right outside, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's no space for pets, sorry.
