Silver Birch
Silver Birch is a lodge we built ourselves in 2022. It's on our land, Toppesfield Hall, which is about six acres. We live in the main hall.
It sleeps four, but it's all open plan. One bedroom space, one bathroom. It's a 5 Star lodge, so everything is new and works as it should. The outdoor bit is private. It gets the sun. There's a hot tub, a gas barbecue, and a firepit.
On site, you can use the tennis court. There's a field for dogs to run in. You can hire bikes from us.
The village pub is a short walk away. There's a small shop and a brewery. You can try wine from the vineyard here too. Places like Great Yeldham and Castle Hedingham are less than ten minutes by car.
Finchingfield is about twelve minutes away. It has the green and the duck pond you see in pictures, with a few pubs. For a day out, Cambridge is under an hour. Braintree Freeport shopping is within half an hour. The coast, like Mersea Island, is about an hour's drive.
There are a few local things to do within a half hour drive. Hedingham Castle is close. So is the Colne Valley Railway. The Imperial War Museum at Duxford is about forty minutes.
For facilities: it has WiFi, parking, an electric vehicle charger, and all bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's a washing machine. The garden is enclosed. Pets are welcome, up to two. There's a games room in a shared barn.
