Toppesfield Hall
Toppesfield Hall is a cottage on an estate near Toppesfield village. It's one of five holiday homes here, spread over six acres. We live on site in the main hall next door.
The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps five. There's one bathroom. It got a 5 Star rating after it was renovated in 2021, so everything is in good order. It's light and you get views over the fields from the bedrooms.
The village is a short walk across the field. There's a pub with a big garden, a shop and post office, a brewery, and a vineyard.
For a day out, Lavenham is about half an hour's drive. It's one of those old Suffolk wool towns with the timbered houses. If you're into walking, Dedham Vale is a similar distance. It’s Constable country. The coast is a bit further. Walton-on-the-Naze is around 45 minutes. Mersea Island is a bit closer. Colchester Zoo is roughly 25 minutes away by car. Braintree Freeport is about 20 minutes if you want to shop.
The cottage has an open-plan living area. Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. It has a private hot tub. No pets, sorry.
