Beachcombers Retreat is in Felixstowe. It's three streets back from the seafront, maybe a five minute walk to the beach.
The house sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is on the ground floor. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The master bedroom has a small balcony with a view of the sea between the houses.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure if you're bringing a dog. You can bring one dog.
Felixstowe itself is fairly quiet. There's a long promenade for walking. The pier has some amusements. Manning's is the main amusement arcade. If you're interested in the port, the Landguard Fort is worth a look.
For a day out, you can get the foot ferry from the pier across to Harwich. That takes about 20 minutes. In Harwich, the Redoubt Fort and the Electric Palace Cinema are interesting. Southwold is just under an hour's drive north, with its lighthouse and Adnams brewery. Aldeburgh, for the fish and chips and the Scallop, is about 45 minutes north.
Facilities wise: bedding and towels are included, there's WiFi and parking on the drive. The garden has a patio and a barbecue.
