The Loft is a place we did up for ourselves really, but we don't live there full time. It's in Lancaster, about a ten minute walk from the castle. It's a proper one-bedroom place, just for two people. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and everything is there.
You come in on the ground floor. There's a living area with doors out to a private patio. The kitchen's all there if you want to cook. Through a door there's a utility bit with a washer and dryer. Stairs go up to the bedroom. They're cottage-style stairs, so they're a bit steeper than normal. The bedroom has a super king size bed and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower.
It's quiet, but you can walk into town easily. Williamson Park is up the hill, good for a stroll. The River Lune walk is just down the road.
Morecambe is about fifteen minutes in the car. The promenade there is good for a walk, and you can see right across the bay. The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are both about 35 minutes' drive if you want a day out.
Facilities wise: there's parking on the drive, WiFi, a TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
