Lakeland View Quernmore

Lakeland View is one of three converted barns on our farm. It's a terrace, so you share a wall with the neighbours, but it's quiet. You get the place to yourselves, obviously.

The view is the main thing. You look out over our fields to the fells in the distance. On a clear day you can see all the way to Morecambe Bay. There's a patio with a picnic bench right outside the door so you can sit and have a drink with that view.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. We keep it clean and it's got what you need. You can bring one dog. There's an enclosed bit of garden so they can't wander off.

The farm is working, so you'll see sheep and cattle around. Sometimes you hear tractors. We're about four miles from the nearest shop or pub, in Caton. You'll need a car.

Lancaster is a short drive. It's a proper town, has everything. The castle is there, and Williamson Park with the big monument. The coast at Morecambe is about eight miles away. If you want to walk, you're right on the edge of the Trough of Bowland. It's good walking country right from the door.

For a day out, you can get into the Yorkshire Dales or up to the Lake District in under half an hour. Kendal is about 30 minutes. Blackpool is a bit further if you fancy that.

Inside there's a washing machine, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
