Hen Harrier Lodge
Hen Harrier Lodge is a small cottage for two people near Dolphinholme, in the Forest of Bowland. It's got one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen and living space all in one room.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's finished to a high standard. There's underfloor heating, a wood burner, a big walk-in shower, and the main doors open right out onto your own patio.
The patio looks out over the fells. You'll see a lot of birds, and sometimes deer. We keep chickens, so you get fresh eggs when you arrive. You can go and feed them if you like.
The location is quiet. You're on the edge of the Trough of Bowland. There are miles of walks right from the door where you won't see many people. It's good for cycling too, on and off road. We can sort out bike storage if you need it.
You're about six miles from Lancaster. Garstang is closer, that's a market town with shops and pubs. Dolphinholme village has a pub that does food and has a little shop inside. The M6 is easy to get to if you want to go further out.
Within about half an hour you can be in the heart of the Bowland hills, in Lancaster city centre, or down at Morecambe Bay. The Lake District is under an hour's drive.
Everything is included: bedding, towels, wifi, parking. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. No pets.
