Clougha View
This is Clougha View. It's one of three converted barns on our farm. We keep beef cattle and sheep here. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The view is what it’s about. You look out over the fields towards Morecambe Bay and the Cumbrian fells. There's a patio with a picnic bench to sit and take it in.
You're on the edge of the Trough of Bowland. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The walking is very good right from the door. For a longer walk, the Lancaster Castle is about a 15 minute drive. They tried the Pendle witches there.
The nearest shop or pub is about four miles away in Quernmore. Lancaster is a bit further and has everything you'd need.
Morecambe is only 8 miles if you want to see the sea. You can be in the Yorkshire Dales near Ingleton in about half an hour. The Lake District, around Kendal, is about 40 minutes' drive.
It's a working farm, so you'll see us going about our day. There are sheep in the fields. Sometimes you can hear the cattle.
Facilities: there's parking, Wi-Fi, a TV, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot or highchair in for you. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The other two barns, Valley View and Lakeland View, are next door. You can book all three together if you're a larger group.
