Valley View Quernmore

Valley View is one of three converted barns here on the farm. It's a terraced cottage, so you'll have neighbours either side, but it's quiet. You get your own little patio with a picnic bench. The view is the main thing. You look straight out over our fields towards the Cumbrian fells and Morecambe Bay.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept. The WiFi works fine. There's a TV, parking right outside, and storage if you bring bikes.

We run a beef and sheep farm here, so you'll see us about. It's a working farm, so there will be the usual noises and smells sometimes. If you have a dog, that's okay, but they must be on a lead around the livestock.

You're in the Trough of Bowland, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's great walking country right from the door. For a map or ideas, the Forest of Bowland website is useful.

The nearest shop or pub is about four miles away in Caton. Lancaster is a short drive. It's got the castle, a few museums, and plenty of places to eat. Williamson Park has the Ashton Memorial and a butterfly house, which is nice for a stroll.

Morecambe seafront is about eight miles for a breezy walk. If you want to go further, the Yorkshire Dales are under half an hour's drive. The Lake District, near Kendal, is about forty minutes. Blackpool, Manchester, or Liverpool are all doable for a day out if you don't mind an hour or so in the car.

Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The other two barns can be booked together if you're coming with more people.
