Valley View Quernmore

Valley View is one of three converted barns here on the farm. It's terraced, so it's attached to the other two. It's on our working beef and sheep farm, so you'll see the animals in the fields. The view is the main thing. You look out over the Cumbrian Fells and Morecambe Bay.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can bring one dog.

Outside, there's a patio with a picnic bench. That's your spot for the view.

You're right on the edge of the Trough of Bowland, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's very good walking country. The farm tracks are a good start. For something bigger, the Forest of Bowland is all around you.

The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away, in Quernmore. Lancaster is a short drive. It's got a castle, the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park, and the usual town things. Morecambe is about eight miles for the seaside. You can be in the Yorkshire Dales near Ingleton in under half an hour. Kendal and the start of the Lake District are about 40 minutes' drive. Blackpool is 35 miles if you want the lights. Manchester and Liverpool are just over an hour.

What's here: WiFi, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We've got two other barns the same, Lakeland View and Clougha View. You can book them together if there's more of you.
