Curlew Loft

Curlew Loft is a one bedroom flat above a garage on our property in Dolphinholme. It sleeps two. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's more on the comfortable and finished side of things.

The main room is open plan: kitchen, living space, and a dining table. The ceilings are high. The bedroom is off that, with a kingsize bed and a separate little dressing room. The bathroom has a walk-in rainfall shower. We've put in underfloor heating.

You have your own private gravel garden area with a pergola, a bench, and some bistro furniture under a big tree. There's a fire bowl you can use. The views are over our fields and you'll see plenty of birds. We have chickens, and you'll get some fresh eggs. You're welcome to go and feed them if you like.

The property is on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. It's very quiet. You can walk straight out onto the lanes and into the Trough from here. For a shop and a pub, you go into the village of Dolphinholme itself. It's about a mile and a half walk down the lane.

Lancaster is about a twenty minute drive. It's a proper city with shops, restaurants, and the castle. Garstang is a smaller market town in the other direction. Morecambe Bay and the coast is about forty minutes away by car. The Lake District is under an hour's drive up the M6.

Facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. All the bedding and towels are included. We don't allow pets.
