The Loft, Lynmouth
The Loft is a second floor apartment in Lynmouth. You get your own entrance and a parking spot for one car.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single. One bathroom. There's an open plan living area with a kitchen that has a dishwasher and a washing machine. You can see the East Lyn river from the windows, and a bit of the sea between the buildings.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-finished and comfortable. The stairs up to it are fine, just normal apartment stairs.
The village is small. There are pubs and cafes right on your doorstep. The beach is shingle, just down the road. The cliff railway up to Lynton is a five minute walk. It's a proper Victorian thing and saves you the hill. Lynton has more shops and a small cinema.
For walking, you can start from the door. The South West Coast Path is right there. Watersmeet, which is a National Trust spot with woods and waterfalls, is a good walk up the river valley. The Valley of the Rocks, which is a strange dry valley with feral goats, is about a mile west along the coast path.
You're in Exmoor National Park. The moor is about a ten minute drive inland. For bigger beaches, like Woolacombe or Saunton Sands, you're looking at about a 30 to 40 minute drive.
Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi. No pets, sorry.
